My personal biggest project going on right now

人生

Hello. My name is Reiya.

I am working on really big project now.

I set 8 goals on Nov 17 by myself which are :

  • Get TOEIC score more than 900 (now 770)
  • Pass EIKEN 1 grade (widely used English test in Japan, and 1 grade is the most difficult)
  • Post more than 100 articles on my blog
  • Have 10,000 subscribers or upload 100 videos on Youtube
  • Release 3 web services
  • Weigh 65 kg (now 61kg, gain more muscle)
  • Reach top of the Mt. Fuji
  • Go to Hokkaido in Japan by hitchhiking

If I can’t make even one of them, I will get a buzz cut.

This is the concept of my hardest challenge in my life.

Trigger of this story

I was looking back my life While taking a shower, and I realized that I had procrastinated many things so far.

Many doubt for my life came up.

” Is it OK to live in the same way until the graduation? “

” Will am I happy after graduation? “

Soon after taking a shower, I wrote closely what I want to do by the graduation.

Then above 8 goals showed up.

However, I understand weakness in myself like dilly-dallying, ignoring my honest desire, and pretending as if nothing happened even though I have big goals.

So I decided to show these goals everyone on instagram as well as Youtube.

My thoughts for these goals

This section describes why I set these goals and my thought for them.

1) TOEIC 900 2) EIKEN 1 grade

I strongly hoped to speak English fluently and to go abroad because I had never been abroad before I came to Canada.

Obviously, my dream that I go abroad came true since I came to Canada, but I am not still satisfied with my english skill.

I sometimes can not catch what English speaker are saying and come up with words quickly.

In addition, other people can not measure my english skill unless I speak English.

TOEIC and EIKEN are very common in Japan.

With these test result, I can proof my English skill.

It is not that the person with them are completely fluent in English, It is that the person with them can be roughly considered to be familiar with English.

3) Weigh 65kg

I have been worked out for about 7 years including right training.

Now I can say I am in shaped.

But my weight has not been really changed these day despite of daily training.

To gain more, protein is so useful, but my face has been troubled with pimples due to protein powder based on milk.

Recently, I found that protein powder based on plant does not make this trouble on my face.

So I will have the kind of protein powder and work out five times a week to gain more.

4) Post more than 100 articles on my blog

I recently started this blog, and I have two reasons.

  • To output what I learn
  • To earn money

Outputting new things helps not only me to learn effectively but also other people learn from them.

In terms of money, making money with blog is a very long journey.

Some articles say :

  • Nothing will happen until you continue at least for 3~6 months
  • It starts out from more than 100 articles

So I need to write articles very hard anyway.

For now, quantity is more essential than quality. (I don’t say quality is not important)

I do not want to waste my money that I spent on rental server.

I will do my best.

5) Release 3 web services

I am majoring in computer science at college in Japan.

Motivation to create web services has existed since I was a freshman.

But I have not released any services by myself yet.

To force myself to do that, I wrote this goal as well.

6) Have 10,000 subscribers or upload 100 videos on Youtube

My channel was created in Summer this year.

Although a few videos were uploaded, I wasn’t dedicated.

YouTube has huge potential and unbelievably many benefits for you.

You can take your audience to your own business, or you can recommend your products (if you have) to them.

And I am also the person who is inspired and motivated a lot by several YouTuber.

So I hope to do the same thing.

This journey is going to be long.

By sharing my story, I want to give you motivation.

7) Reach top of the Mt. Fuji

Some people especially in abroad do not know the mountain.

It is well-known for the highest mountain in Japan and beautiful shape.

I have tried to climb it once before by a tour, but the tour was stoped midway due to bad wether on the top.

I think I have more time than worker since I am a college student, and once I start a job, it is going to be difficult to have enough time to do it.

So I will try it again.

8) Go to Hokkaido in Japan by hitchhiking

Last year, I went for a trip by hitchhiking for four days from Aichi to Kanagawa.

Unfortunately, I had to stop the trip because I had to work as a part time job, but It is the most exciting and fulfilling experience in my life.

Hokkaido is the northernmost prefecture in Japan.

It takes a long time, so I will hopefully try it while I am a college student.

Summary

  • Get TOEIC score more than 900 (now 770)
  • Pass EIKEN 1 grade (widely used English test in Japan, and 1 grade is the most difficult)
  • Post more than 100 articles on my blog
  • Have 10,000 subscribers or upload 100 videos on Youtube
  • Release 3 web services
  • Weigh 65 kg (now 61kg, gain more muscle)
  • Reach top of the Mt. Fuji
  • Go to Hokkaido in Japan by hitchhiking

I will be serious to achieve the goals.

If not, you will be able to see my buzz cut.

You can see the result in a year and a few months.

Please look forward to it!
